The White Rock Fortress is one of the more unusual maps in War Thunder, which is accessible to both ground and air forces. The action takes place around the ruins of an old riverside fortress, challenging both teams to master the balancing act between long-range combat across an extensive terrain and close quarters action when taking the ruins themselves. Let's have a look at the strategies!

Man, i remember great battles on this map... Right after GF came out there was a wonderful Sim-Event (i think it was one of the first ones): Russians had better tanklineup, but only airsupport with Mig-3 while the Germans had Stuka-Support for their tanks. Wonderful Rock, Paper, Scissors situation and was quite balanced. Then the map got shrunk to poststamp-size...
Pretty slack not knowing there are 4 ways into the central area - there is a path from the direction of C.
i cant what to play this map!

R.I.P White rock fortress, it got the arcade remake and died right afterwards.
It's a happy campers paradise lol
Is this place based on a real world location? Brest-Litovsk perhaps?
Pretty sureit is, but not Brest Litovsk - you can google "White Rock Fortress" and it comes up with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi_fortress in southern Ukraine - you can still see the fortress on google maps or earth although there's quiet a lot of "artistic licence" between what remains and the WT map - ie it is a fortress onbut other than that there's not a lot of resemblance!! Plus there's a town built up around it.
The worst map in WT with Karelia.
How large was the map before it got shrunk? Kursk-size? Also, was the rest of the map outside it completely flat or did it have decent cover? I like some of the "arcade-ish" maps and hate the others. Jungle, Carpathians, Kuban, and Mozdok are alright. This map is either good or bulls*** depending on the teams. I hate Poland, Rhine, and Stalingrad.
This was always a terrible map with an incredibly stupid design. The entire north and east of the river was useless, hidden brick chunks, pits, and tank wrecks to get stuck on, etc. One of the worst ever made for this game. First they decided to ignore 80% of the map and crammed the spawns in, and that was still an embarrassment. Now just another dumb little arcade 'ants in a jar' map.
