Victory in Stalingrad Day
The Battle of Stalingrad began in the summer of 1942: both German and Soviet command considered the city to be of critical importance. In autumn the Red Army during Operation Uranus successfully encircled the Wehrmacht forces near Stalingrad. Axis powers failed in their attempt to break through, and on February 2nd, 1943 field marshal Paulus went against Hitler’s orders and surrendered. This victory became one of the most important events of WWII.

Art of Winning: KV Tanks
In the late 1930s the Soviet tank industry was in a very interesting place as there were numerous tank designs competing for the spot of the perfect heavy tank. In the end, though, after thorough testing, countless land battleships were swept aside to give way to the one and only Kliment Voroshilov tank, or simply KV. This vehicle was a progenitor of the whole series of tanks that played a major part in WW2... and this video is all about those armor-clad monsters!

Japanese Jets of WW2
“Japanese jets of WW2”? What do you mean? They didn’t have any, did they?.. Actually, it’s not as clear-cut as you might think. What do we even consider a proper jet aircraft? For instance, the revolutionary German Me 163 Komet was actually rocket-powered and not a jet, while the P-51 Mustang or the Soviet LaGG-3 actually had some features of a jet aircraft.

Tactics: Chinese MBTs
China started building tanks in the middle of the 20th century. First, the country set up production of components for the Soviet T-34, then started manufacturing the Type 59, a local variant of the T-54A. This was the vehicle that single-handedly kickstarted the Chinese tank industry – the tank with a Chinese body and a Soviet soul.
