After WWII ended, France sought to rebuild its air force. In need of an aircraft that could serve in many roles: a multi-purpose bomber, fighter and interceptor, SNCASO took one of their prototypes to fit these requirements. This is where the Vautour was born, taking to the skies on October 16th, 1952!

On October 13th 1775, the Continental Fleet was created by the 13 colonies that separated from Great Britain. When it was first created, this fleet consisted of only a few ships that went on to battle with British ships. Today, the US Navy is the world’s largest navy in terms of ships and naval aircraft.

Battle of the Caucasus: A Decal and Decoration for the 80th Anniversary!
From the summer of 1942, determined Axis forces launched an offensive into the Caucasus region in a bid to capture key locations. In 2 months, they managed to advance to Mozdok, but then hit a barrier — they were stopped from advancing further by the Soviets. From the beginning of 1943, Soviet troops squeezed out Axis forces from many occupied locations. Then, by October 9th 1943, all Axis troops were evacuated from the region, therefore full control of these locations were returned to the Soviets.

Pershing Tanks: Slow & Powerful
Tanks of the Pershing series were accepted into the US service near the end of WW2: they were positioned as a new generation of vehicles based on a promising platform, and a counter to German Panthers. In War Thunder, Pershing tanks are found at the mid ranks of the American and Italian tech trees, and are usually played as highly versatile all-rounders.
