Germany's 'Wonder Weapons'

During the Second World War, Nazi-Germany ran a sophisticated research program for the development of flying bombs and rockets. When finally brought into service in 1944, the ‘Wunderwaffen’, as they were called by the German propaganda, were supposed to turn the tide in a war that was already lost.

Operation "Frantic"

June 2nd, 1944 200 B-17 aircraft, flying from air bases in southern Italy, tasked with the bombing of military installations situated in Hungary. The aircraft rose into the sky, German fighters waited to pounce turned toward the bombers to launch an attack. But this did not happen.
