Welcome to our weekly digest of videos from our YouTube channel! Last week, we featured top rank heavy strike aircraft, well armed trucks, the Be-6 flying boat and the BM-Oplot-T Thai main battle tank, soon to be added in the upcoming Tusk Force major update!
Don't forget, you can now use video subtitles!
Heavy CAS: F-111, Su-24, Tornado
Most top-rank aircraft capable of ground strikes are multirole fighters, but War Thunder also features a few specialized vehicles, like the F-111, the Su-24, and the Tornado. Today we’d like to go through the details of fighting in mixed battles using aircraft that can arguably be called “top bombers.”
Most Dangerous Trucks
Step aside, tanks and APCs: the trucks are rolling onto the battlefield! At first glance they may look harmless, even a little comical, yet sometimes these unassuming vehicles pose just as much of a threat to tanks as opponents armed with the most powerful guns. By the first half of the 20th century, trucks had already proven themselves as indispensable gun platforms — cheap, simple, and effective. That’s why in this video we’ll be looking at some of the most interesting and dangerous combat trucks in War Thunder. Buckle up and let’s go!
Thunder Show: REVERSIBLE LANE
We have an amazing combination of booms on the ground, booms in the skies, and even booms underground!
BM Oplot-T: Tusk Force
It’s time to see the new vehicles of the “Tusk Force” update. Its main ground highlight is the new top tank in the Thai branch: the BM Oplot-T. It aims to add variety to Japan’s top-rank vehicle lineup. What does it bring to the battlefield? Let’s find out!
Be-6: Combat Flying Boat
Flying boats have never been a priority for air forces, but many nations still designed and produced aircraft capable of landing on water. The Soviet Union was no exception: its engineers had made a few successful models, including some that served with the Navy. However, the Second World War showed that the country needed something special. There was a need for an aircraft that could perform the roles of a transport, a bomber, and a patrol plane — a need for a heavy flying boat like the American Catalina.
