Type K-8/Class No.13 Kusentei (1942), Rank II, Japan, Premium
This vehicle will be the exclusive award in the “Operation W.I.N.T.E.R.” event.
Type K-8 subchasers are one of the typical Japanese ‘mosquito’ fleet ships of the WWII period. Boats of this class received a reduced length but increased hull width compared to other subchasers from this period. As a result, the boat's displacement increased, which had a positive effect on its seaworthiness. The armament of Type K-8 subchasers was represented by one 76 mm cannon and a pair of 13.2 mm machine guns, as well as depth charges.
Type K-8/Class No.13 Kusentei (1942) is an entry-rank coastal fleet boat. Its later modification, reinforced with 25mm autocannons, is already known to enthusiasts of the Japanese fleet in our game. Like the later modification, the 1942 version of the subchaser stands out for its good survivability - even with an almost complete lack of armor, the large size and large crew allow the ship to withstand a fairly significant number of hits.

Comett, i mean, all of top tier japan is in my most played tanks, so why would i play the type 10 only for 5 matches? or is it that youre mad and speak nonsense?
I really like this a lot, but I was expecting a little bit more interesting vehicle for Japan.
So why make this an event vehicle when you could have made a destroyer event vehicle? Does anyone actually play coastal fleet outside of events, especially the Japanese one? Pretty useless to be honest.

Why not tier III ? This has to be like 2.3 similar to the one un tree ... At least I will farm faster other 3.3 pts or first coastal 3.7s
I am happy for every vehicle the Japan gets... but couldn´t we get something better after some time the Japan wasn´t in event.? Rather than copy-paste with 25mm taken away. No normal Fubuki-class in game, no Kagero, no Akatsuki-subclass. If it has to coastel vehicle. Several escort classes you could choose. There is still no minelayer for Japan. There is still plenty of options to pick from. After all Japan was in top 3 when it came to navy size of that era.
