About the Kiyoshimo destroyer
Japanese destroyers Yugumo type, built in the early 40s were the upgrade of Kagero type destroyers. Ship of this class can reach maximum speed of 35 knots (64 km/h) and differs from its predecessor by the increased size of the hull, modernized bridge and upgraded armament. The armament of the destroyer consists of three 2x127 mm Type D guns, depth charges, and two quadruple rotating torpedo tubes 610 mm caliber with the Type 93 torpedoes (also known as Long Lances) - the most powerful, long-range and fast-moving torpedoes of its time.
