Dear Pilots and Tankers!
On the 9th of May, the War Thunder Team met the Victory Day together with some of our players in Odintsovo, near Moscow in Russia. Those in attendance could try the latest model of the Oculus Rift, participate in draws for souvenirs and of course, just chat with the developers. The highlight of the event was the presentation of new vehicles. In Odintsovo, our guests heard first hand about the future plans of the development of the game.
Today, we will reveal the inside information to all and will show you two interesting new vehicles to be added with one of the incoming updates!
Douglas B-18 Bolo
The majority of countries did not have the vehicles that met the high requirements of the military command. The US, for instance ,did not have a good medium bomber - and it was civil aviation that solved the problem. Not unlike the Germans that created their He.111 based on a passenger aircraft, the Americans adapted the civil B-18 to military needs. The “Bolo” could carry an impressive bomb load.
IТ-1
Now let us introduce some completely new gameplay - the first but not last rocket tank which was armed with guided missile weaponry! The chassis of the T-62 carrying no guns, just 15 deadly guided missiles. An enemy behind a hill? No problem for an experienced gunner! IT-1 - one of the first rocket tanks armed with ATGMs in War Thunder.
Follow the news in our Devblog, where we will inform you about all the new vehicles of incoming updates!
We would also like to thank our partners - MSI, ZyXEL, SteelSeries and Nvidia - for their support.
The War Thunder Team

B-18 HYPPPPPEEEE
I'm excited for the appearance of the B-18. The museum that i volunteer for is currently restoring a B-18 Bolo, you can see it here if you like. https://wingsmuseum.org/1938-b-18a-bolo/
Does this mean the US get the M551? And could the Brits get something different like the Humber Hornet? Don't know what the Germans would get, though.
T-62 will probably be in next major update after this one cause they already have the hull made.
so it has begun :))
Given that the IT-1 will be using a T-62 hull, I think this is pretty much confirmation that the T-62 is finally being implemented in the game. You can't really have a T-62 derivative without the base T-62, after all.
I will rage so hard if He 177 dont gets added this patch so much time waiting for a decent german heavy bomber already
Ok just wondering just honestly why just why. I mean really why just why. I mean this new update there adding in a bunch of kv-2's and now this. I mean honestly why. Ok but lets put it at this if we can have ATGM's lets add in something that the germans did. We should add in then the Fritz X. To sum it up its a missle you fire and it locks on to ships. I know there was another one that you fired and it lock onto b17 engine frequency. But ya more Russian bias just what we need in this game
I have no problem with ATGM but it have to be tiered right so that it will not face panthers and king tigers and stuff. And obviously other nations need one (ATGM launcher) too.
all russian bias and holy balance batman comments aside......maybe with this we can get some radar guided gunnery fitted tot he jets that had it....and im told some late props.
