Victory in Europe Day, often shortened to 'VE Day', is one of the most important commemoration related to World War II, observed by millions of people all over the world. Held on the 8th and 9th day of May every year, it marks the capitulation of the German forces and the end of hostilities in Europe.

One cannot but put any piston engine into an aircraft. It has to be specifically designed for the demanding environment of flight. Engines for aircraft were being built years before the Wright brothers’ historic flight and have a development path quite different to that of land based engines.
