In the upcoming major update "Red Skies", we are adding into the game a camera that tracks the flight and fall of naval shells. A similar camera can be found in air battles, where holding down the “space bar” allows you to track dropped air bombs, rockets or torpedoes. In naval battles, War Thunder captains will be able to precisely aim the salvoes of their main calibre guns. After a volley, the guns are reloaded, and you can personally follow the flight of the ranging or main salvo and more accurately adjust your aim for the next one. Besides, watching the shells flying over the battle scape is just very beautiful!
At the time of the “Red Skies” update release, the new camera will be implemented for the non-automatic main battery guns of the War Thunder bluewater fleet.

I gotta admit, I really do not like this idea! It's not that it took an incredible amount of skill to get on target as it was but this just makes it way too easy and can you tell what feature in the real world is this corresponding to exactly? This is something that does not exist in the real world, nothing even close to this. So why do we have it in the game now? Are we going to get force fields and lasers next? Seriously guys I know everyone is hyped for this but....
It's going to completely ruin what little bit of imerison there was. Every single player is going to be a bullseye shooter now. Of all the things that could have been added or fixed or need to be added or fixed. i can't understand how you landed on this being a priority. Mark my words, this feature is going to end up being almost universally hated.
WARNERwinsGAMING, *immersion
One more reason to stop playing naval completely if this is in realistic :'( Your removing all the immersion and any realism from it
This is actually really satisfying to watch
No ship launched torpedo follow camera? Ah well a shell camera is enough for me.
Is there any chance of a remedy to the destroyer DM's we saw on dev server? They were incredibly resistant to damage, to the point that even a DD would take dozens of hits from a 5" gun to go down. I understand the desire to make cruisers and destroyers able to fight each other, and the more detailed DM is nice, but both need to be significantly less resistant to damage than we saw on dev.
Gaijin, first you make the cake, then you put the cherries on top. You're doing it wrong.
I dont play naval, but this is a awesome feature
Not any different from the already existing bomb camera....
Very good devblog. ))))))))) +31 Krok has been transferred to your account
Now just improve elevation aim and leading aim and module RP then Naval would become a proper major player filled gamemode.
Have you ever played Naval?
Love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! , but yes may need an option for a different key bind.
