With the release of War Thunder update 1.91, you’ll be able to exclude maps and missions from your personal rotation, as well as mark them as unwanted.
The “Dislike” feature will be available to all players - if a few players from the matching queue have the same mission or location marked as unwanted, the location will be skipped, and the new location will be selected.

An “Exclude” map feature will be available to Premium account owners and guarantees complete removal for the player, of specific locations and missions in multiple gaming modes.

The number of maps and locations that can be selected will be limited for various gaming modes and depends on the overall number of available maps or missions in those specific modes.
The location preference settings work only in random battles in air, land and naval AB and RB.

We are limiting the “Exclude” feature only for Premium account owners as the excluded maps will increase the battle queuing time if all players in a queue have different maps and missions excluded. In such a situation, the matching system will try to find matches for a few players looking for specific maps instead of many players waiting for normal rotation.
We hope that the ability to choose your preferred locations will make your game more enjoyable and comfortable. The War Thunder development team, in our turn, will be able to see which locations most players like or dislike and therefore prioritise for recall, specific maps for revision or removal.
Thank you for playing War Thunder! See you in battle!

Good Job nice to see this changes !!!
We are listening! It take time to get features and fixes and some limits are complicated to overcome, but we're getting there. Hope you enjoy this one. :)
All answers (4)Ouiche, Just delete map files and you don't get the maps you like. Seems like a wasted "feature" when you can manually choose to "not play" on the maps you dislike already (and not get a crew lock).
Agreed. I hope the positive changes keep coming. A lot of us have hope for good change and stick around b/c of that hope.
Finally! Now I can disable Volokolamsk!
Now I can finally disable Italy )))
Checkpoint_, Only premium members can disable maps, FTP players can only dislike maps and potentially avoid a map!
Only 2 replies and already the problem has shown itself: Every map will have haters and this will cause longer wait times. TBH, it will depend on what vehicles I'm playing as to which maps I don't want to play on.
*Thunderous applause* Well done, now we see that you are taking things seriously and are going to fix the game in 1.91
The developers are fixing ~1000+ bugs between each major! Granted, bugs are not features (or are they?) but we're also working on QoL - it just take quite a lot of time. Some of the features requested by the community looks easy to develop on paper... but it's a lot of work in the "backstage".
All answers (2)Ouiche, Unfortunately the community doesn't hear any of that besides comments like yours and the occasional changelog. Any chance we could get more news on the bugs the Devs squash more regular basis than just the changelog?
This is indeed a great addition, but you need to realize that this is not something that they have just developed in the last couple of days, in some attempt to respond to the current "Reee"ing. Features like these are planned and developed over a longer period, so don't start thinking that "Ree"ing is an effective strategy.
Xtanol, I can't agree more with you
OMG THANKS GUYS! Finally ! good Funking job !
It's extremely stupid to make the exclude feature for premium only. Some maps are so bad that they just shouldn't exist. Please cut that out of the final product.
If everyone dislikes those maps then they'll be skipped anyway. And then gaijin will also have data on how few people like it and can edit/remove it as needed like they mention. I think the dislike system is plenty.
Buy premium... After some 3k+ battles you have the devs deserve it. Or yknow, dont brag )))
A good call. Thank you. Keep up the good work
Will we see the kind of map configuration? I ask because for example small Poland, with 3 points, 2 in town and another across the lake is an awesome map, but the huge Poland is one of the worst maps in the game. In any case I am happy that lately I haven´t played Vietnam a single time, amazing.
this, what kind of configs will we be able to ban, give us better game mode selectors, we can select from realistic and arcade, why not skirmish or domination? or even break point let us consume the game modes we want to not random choice, i enjoy breakpoint alot but match maker hardly ever chooses it.
