In update 1.71 New E.R.A. we will introduce a lot of new features and one of them is a long anticipated gunner view for aircraft with one gunner position.
In update 1.71 New E.R.A. we implement new camera view for the defensive turret for more than 50 aircraft with one gunner position. The view has been moved as close to the weapon as possible, thus parallax effect is reduced. This view mode is enabled by default, but you can switch back to classic view in the settings.

is this for all planes ?
Huzzah!!!! Love it :)
Reminds me on Bf1942
it's a step in the right direction, even if this isn't a pure first person view, but better than the other 360° . Another good thing will be to put this view only for SB (as already told by someone else) and also, on multigunner Aircraft a player should be able to control only one gunner (with this view ofc). but hey, for now this is a great improvement!
Will we get to keep war bonds we earn this month indefinitely?
Someone told me the Me 410 got this feature but you are limited to sit in between the two gunsights without using any of them, is this true? (still love the feature, long awaited)
its wrong, only planes with 1 turret get the first person view, and the 410 technically has 2. (I also tried the 410 on the dev server and it was forced in third person)
This should be neat for bubble turrets on aircraft. I take it you can switch between views for multi-turret aircraft.
i hope this update is released before the end of Friday.
Ah ma god!!
Pretty much pointless unless you can look down the barrel and use the scope
