We are happy to introduce some new features of the next Major Update 1.71 “New E.R.A”: composite and explosive reactive armour for the ground vehicles!
When rounds that could penetrate up to 400mm of armoured steel were invented, engineers had to find a new approach to tank protection. One of these solutions became composite armour - protection that consists of several layers of different materials, and though it has significantly less mass than conventional steel armour, it is equally durable.
The second option was reactive armour. Such “armour” consists of metal containers with explosives and metal plates. When the container is hit - the explosive jet causes detonation and the plates “fly towards” the jet, thus the jet penetrates new sections of the plates losing focus and penetration.

I was under the impression that the grind for ground forces would be addressed once we have enough vehicles. Are we close to that goal and is that number of vehicles needed to reduce the grind similar to the number of new Tier 6s required to reduce the grint for them as well?
Was part of LFP intentionally left un-ERAd on M60RISE?
Yes, placing explosive boxes down there wouldnt do more than see them pop off the moment you ran over small tree, or rock, also keep in mind alot of times frontal armor is designed to work best from a hull down position where that plate is usually entriely covered.
Just asking, since WoT released the Primo Victoria (which looks pretty awesome), you also got some premium tanks you will announce or release that are this special?:3
man. i love this stuff. though the t64 plates. can you fold them to angles that i would be able to set myself >? for example 60 degree instead of 90 >?
Could we be seeing the Leopard 2A5 and the T-90A as the Max tanks of their tech tree?
How will the armour viewing mode work with these new composite armour? Especially the T-64, since as far as i've understood, composite armour has different effects on different types of ammunition, which results in different penetration.

Excuse my ignorance if this was already answered previously, but will current top tier tanks be able to face Rank 6 Vehicles? I'd assume so, but I'm also assuming the max BR will increase as well?
before that please fix the heavy unbalanced BR of some ground forces vehicles like the jumbo, centurion mk1 and mk3
