The Winter holidays have come to an end. With the new year events over, some of you will have already noticed unique event vehicles such as the LVT ZiS-2, the Type 62, Ki-21 hei, and the Me 262A-2a Sturmvogel in your hangar. Meanwhile, our mechanics have been hard at work preparing your machines for combat over the holidays! How much fuel was consumed over the course of these battles? How many shells are now missing from their supply depots? Let's look at some of the statistics relating to this epic large-scale event!
- 155,866 battles took place during this event.
- 8,683,677 vehicles in total were destroyed, more than the total amount of vehicles produced during WWII!
- 168,767 active players participated in the chronicles over the 140 historical events.

Gaijin! Next time please limit the number of planes in tank battle events, since they were a major stress source me and fellow tankers in the event. 1. Playing as the germans was a pain, since teams with 6-8 Bf 109 F4s or G2/trops on Kursk, Mozdok and Novorossiysk, made literally unplayable, since the inadequate number of Pz IVs could not counter the hordes of T-34s effectively. 2. Same problem at El-Alamein, where the onslaught of allied aircraft literally denied all access to capture points
Yeah, the nonstop bombing and rocket runs made playing ground forces a nightmare. Especially when Germany didn't even get a good SPAA until the end of the marathon. And some of them Germany didn't even get AA. It's really not fun when you can't even get out of your spawn before getting bombed.
Gaijin please have the WWII Chronicles happen more often. I represent many players who'd like to say that we want more historical battles with historical vehicle line-ups so that we may recreate those famous engagements ourselves. Thank you for holding these events and I hope to see them again soon o7
I found the various "tasks" as a waste of time using planes/tanks I don't like to play. I wasn't interested and refused to participate. Besides the only possible interesting plane was the Me-262-A2 because it carries bombs. The rest of the offers were decidedly lack luster. I appreciate the offers but personally was unimpressed.

"Which task was the most difficult" erm... that heavily depended on the event, but I had to pick supporting fire. Making your task depend on -worst case- a complete stranger... *shudders*. Make it that "stay close to your squadmate as he makes kills" like in older events, up the number of times it has to be achieved, success! Also, think about making a more arcade friendly vehicle lineup for your tasks. Two air respawns on air domination in malta made 2017 points pretty much impossible.
Other than that, I liked the new format. It made the time investment a bit more predictable for me than previous events. However I suggest that once in a while, the devs play their own events. I am guessing they are done to draw in inactive and new players, so there should be some amount of fun to have. Think night witches races, or air/tank races in general. One or two tasks within the events that can be gained by participation alone, where not everyone is dead set on having to win or be first.
Mc_Intire, Some rest and recreation might lighten up the mood. We can pass the salt to DotA and LoL, I play WT to chill out and trounce bombers.
I would love if you extended the events so we can lose more task or start it later. The events always start when I am traveling and once I get back I lost too many days to try to get the vehicles, this happened to me year after year which is a shame because I wanted the Type 62 (or any of the other event vehicles that i lost), it would be my first Russian tank and I would start grindind that tree should I have unlocked it
