T-III (or T-3) was the Soviet designation for any captured German Pz.Kpfw. III to be put in service with the Red Army. This particular vehicle is an early Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. J, featuring the short-barreled 50 mm Kw.K. 38 L/42. New features of the Ausf. J were an increased frontal hull armor of 50 mm as well as various mechanical changes.
A similar vehicle was used by ace tanker Nikolai Baryshev, painted in the Red Army’s olive color and equipped with Soviet ensignia.
In game, the T-III will be a premium vehicle with a Battle Rating of approximately 2.3.
