In patch 1.43 we will be adding long-awaited additional functionality for crew slots - it will be the ability to save and load preset aircraft/ground vehicle lineups for quick-changing in the slots of each nation. For example, you can prepare a set of vehicles for fighting mixed battles at USSR rank II:
