Marder III, Sd.Kfz. 139 actively used on all fronts of the Second World War. Most of them on the Eastern Front. It was built as a makeshift tank destroyer. In all there were 344 units of this self-propelled unit built between 1942 and 1944. It was built on the chassis of the Czech-supplied panzer 38(t) which had largely become redundant in 1942. The Main armament was 7.62 cm PaK 36(r), a remachined cannon that was utilised from many captured Russian field guns (the Soviet 76.2 mm field gun). marder_III-2 hajefdii hfdghfcc igbhbcab
