A mere 130 kilometres away from the Soviet capital of Moscow, rural Volokolamsk saw fierce conflict in the early years of war between Germany and the Soviet Union. As one of the most advanced positions of the German Wehrmacht during the invasion, decisive battles were fought here that took part in sealing the outcome of the Battle of Moscow. As one of the recent winter locations added to War Thunder, Volokolamsk offers tactical diversity and opportunity for tricky manoeuvres (especially during snow storms!), so let's have a look at the map in detail.
Are you a battle-hardened veteran of Volokolamsk already? Share your favorite spots and epic experiences on this location in the comments below!

best map, lots of configs. full map for 32 vs 32 GF RB :D :D
Will there be a dev blog today?
Low vales, low hills, it's a bomber dream and a short game with bogged tanks in one ravine and very little maneuvering. I usually play low repair tanks these days it's such a mess. Please open this up a little or was it that bad in real life?
those new snow maps are the worst .
In the third location, Between Petelino and the train station i have literally NEVER seen the capture point NOT rushed or captured at the end of the map, It all comes down to someone rushing, capping and that team winning because the other team cant even get any close for the nature of the map, Seriously war thunder i love you and you have Amazing maps, But this one, im sorry but its not, Not in a any variation. PD: More Karelia and less Snowy and North African maps, They appear too much often.
I refuse to play this map, everytime it loads i exit even before entering the battle from the menu. It is horrible worst map ever it is too small and just feels so rushed there is nothing good about this map at all.
The conquest version in RB is really good, the others are too small.
I don't like how the fences look without anti-aliasing on
I laughed at the "It's a real snipers paradise here" as well. :DDD
Now this took some real thought and talent to put together. I reluctantly applaud the Dev's on this map, it is a seriously involved while breath taking beautiful map.
