A mere 130 kilometres away from the Soviet capital of Moscow, rural Volokolamsk saw fierce conflict in the early years of war between Germany and the Soviet Union. As one of the most advanced positions of the German Wehrmacht during the invasion, decisive battles were fought here that took part in sealing the outcome of the Battle of Moscow. As one of the recent winter locations added to War Thunder, Volokolamsk offers tactical diversity and opportunity for tricky manoeuvres (especially during snow storms!), so let's have a look at the map in detail.
Are you a battle-hardened veteran of Volokolamsk already? Share your favorite spots and epic experiences on this location in the comments below!

only people with complains post something. so: Warthunder is one of the best games I ever played. Not p2w.
make ash river more common again! I love that map!!!
Also, I dislike it when I'm about to spawn in and it shows a massive map on my vehicle selection screen, but when I spawn in, the map is only about 1/6th the size I was shown...
I hope they will also give AB and RB GF the full map (or at least a bigger part) as an option. This would be nice since we already have many smaller maps. Currently there is no real use for light tanks and spg's in this map, giving the full map would finally give tanks like the M41 and M18 a real use.
why is there a road to "reach enemy respawns quickly" its almost like they encourage spawn camping.
This map is setup in a bowl shape, it is fully open with very few spots for cover. The hills it has are few but have a significant gradient, so...you only get about a third over them before you are Killed. This map hates gun depression and generally favors tanks with heavy frontal or sloped armor. The flanks are almost impossible to use, you spawn in a bowl and are funneled into kill zones. I was ecstatic when I found the forest, I was a kilometer out from the enemies, and cus AB, they saw me...
Maybe it's just me but I think some of your maps could really do with a lot of "re-work" A lot of your maps are very unrealistic. Espeically this one in particular. The one thing you did get right that it was very flat. But I also notice a way over use of tree's everywhere https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/0a/45/08/0a45082f9e5b0acde963cc38444e5a9b.jpg This applies it most of your maps. A way over use of Tree's and Foliage all over the place.
on the subject of winter maps, they need to be bigger, this and frozen pass I hate the most , turns into a spawn camp in ab . but playing spa tiny map helps..aircraft are close
Like that map but domination mode is shit, 2 close and whole map is 2 mall in that mode, same as battle mode in my favorite map, Tunisia. Battle mod on Tunisia map is waaaay too retarded, defending points on both sides are too far from spawns so both sides usually rush to capture instead of defending making both sides going around each other.
FYI There's a bug with the lake where the tank slows down as if its in water.
