A mere 130 kilometres away from the Soviet capital of Moscow, rural Volokolamsk saw fierce conflict in the early years of war between Germany and the Soviet Union. As one of the most advanced positions of the German Wehrmacht during the invasion, decisive battles were fought here that took part in sealing the outcome of the Battle of Moscow. As one of the recent winter locations added to War Thunder, Volokolamsk offers tactical diversity and opportunity for tricky manoeuvres (especially during snow storms!), so let's have a look at the map in detail.

Guys Pls give us -- restricted spawn zone. No ghost cannon barrel. No one flag map
What happen to Normandy attack from South to North? I loved that map on RB.. now we just fight on the beach from W to East it's not as fun or as tactical map style bring it back pls! Your latest ground forces map have been great 10/10 including all winter, all desert GJ! But I feel you should respect more us players & let us have more fun with the maps THAT we enjoy.. I would even pay not to play maps like Karelia, Jungle and even kursk(Hate the A.I.) I would enjoy much more WT this way!

This map and hurtgen forest are the 2 worst maps for tanks IMO. First time i played this map i was able to kill a su100y and t34s in their spawn! I really am not a fun of the map.
