Anniversary of the MiG-15’s Adoption into Service: Discount on the MiG-15bis ISH
The MiG-15, the most mass-produced jet fighter in history, was designed by the Mikoyan and Gurevich Design Bureau and accepted into service with the Soviet Air Force on August 23rd 1949. It served various countries for over half a century and took part in conflicts in China, Korea and Egypt, and was also actively used by the USSR to protect the air borders of Warsaw Pact countries.

T1E1 (90 mm): Up the Ante!
Today, we’ll be taking a look at the T1E1 (90 mm), a vehicle that derived from fitting the T1E1 with a more powerful 90 mm cannon. Although this upgrade didn’t ultimately change the outcome of the development program, this unique up-gunned variant of the T1E1 will soon arrive to the American ground forces tree as part of the next major War Thunder update!
Prinz Eugen Temporarily Returns to Celebrate the Anniversary of its Launch
Named after the 18th century Austrian general, the Prinz Eugen heavy cruiser was launched on August 22nd 1938. In May 1941, it took part in Operation Rheinübung and helped in the attack of the British battlecruiser HMS Hood. From mid-1943, Prinz Eugen provided artillery cover for German troops on the Eastern Front. After the war, it was handed over to the United States and was destroyed during nuclear tests at Bikini Atoll.

A New Decal and Decoration for the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Paris!
On August 19th 1944, the French Resistance began the Battle of Paris against the Germans and Vichy forces under its command. On August 24th, the Allies arrived as well, causing Paris to be liberated within hours. Hitler ordered that if the city could not be held, it should be destroyed, but the commandant of Paris, Dietrich von Choltitz, refused to carry out the order.

US Airborne Day: Get Yourself a New Decal & the UH-1C XM-30!
On August 16th 1940, the first airborne landing of American troops took place. Since 1943, the US Airborne Forces actively participated in combat operations during World War II — first during the invasion of Italy, and then in Normandy and the Ardennes. They played a vital role during D-Day, assisting with the Allies having a safer landing on the beaches.

Polish Armed Forces Day: Lanovski’s P-47M-1-RE and a New Decal!

50th Anniversary of the Tornado’s First Flight: A Special Decal and a Discount!
On the 14th August 1974, the Panavia Tornado took to the skies for the first time. This multinational, multirole aircraft marks 50 years since its first flight in 2024 and still flies today with the Luftwaffe, Aeronautica Militare and Royal Saudi Air Force. The Royal Air Force, previously being one of the 3 original operators, retired their last Tornados in 2019.
