During the Cold War era powerful armored forces were an important part of the identity of the Red Army. Soviet MBTs were very different from their Western counterparts. While incorporating a lot of bleeding edge technologies like carousel-style autoloaders and composite armor, Soviet designs had a lot of teething problems. In the end, though, Soviet engineers managed to overcome those difficulties and produced the revolutionary T-64A… and the mighty T-80U. Today we’re going to speak about them… as well as other Soviet MBTs!
