Problem really lies that there is no efficient way to grind helicopters, they take too much RP to unlock and even more RP to get ESSENTIAL modifications that without you can't play helicopters effectively. RP for helicopter mods must be decreased by at least 80%.
Outside of RB tanks I don't really see a point to play helicopters, and there you only get a puny amount of RP, even when you do well in it, while you need as much as for a tier 6 tank. And since I barely play RB I guess helicopters is really the only aspect of WT I won't bother with.
Agreed. I unlocked the Helo CBT and I played the first cobra and really enjoyed its anti-tank/anti-aircraft loadouts, but I am disappointed in the fact it takes 380k RP for the Huey that is only a one time platform (as in it is either anti tank, or anti aircraft, you cant do both). Its ridiculous, I could see 380k being for the AH-1Z, and maybe 280 for the AH-F, but the Huey? C'mon. They are barely playable in ground RB.
Oh look another unbalanced comparison at top tier , There’s a reason why Barely anyone play Russian helicopter compared to US one , Wait times are ridiculous to get a game, Out of all the other Russian helicopters you pick a Transport helicopter to compete with the cobra . Really !!! Like really? I have already given up on my Mi -35 and Refuse to fly in air RB
I don't think anyone seriously believes Russian helicopters are on the same level as American ones. The American ones are just so much BETTER. It is silly to pretend that there is any competition.

The 10.0RB and sometimes the 8.0RB are getting absurd. People really shouldnt be able to use M2A4 to cap a point, J out and respawn on AH1Z. To make matter worse, AH1Z can just hover out of SPAA range or anything for eternity and point'n'click.
Helicopters in War Thunder = Absurd
This video is cool and all, but can you please share some of your plans to fix Helicopters in mixed battles? Right now they do not integrate well and most nations still don't have access to them.
And.. Even if I get three kills don't die and we win the battle due to me taking out strategic sniper positions... still only 900 research towards 390,000 research to the next helo... c'mon Gajiin, it's going to be years before I get my next helo
In tank realistic battle AH1Z performs much better than Mi35 cuz US and British tanks are much harder to one-shot by Mi35 than Soiet and German tanks.
The helicopter balance and economy are totally broken, you added them as an independend vehicle type so treat them as such, the heli rb mode needs lots of attention balance wise and especially rewards wise!!

Please look into my atgm bug speed, all but two atgm Shtrum and Ataka do not travel at their max speed, Shtrum 290 instead of 400 m/s while the ataka travels at 350 out of 550 m/s https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/432051-possible-heli-atgm-speed-bug/
I completely agree the shtrums feel the same as the Cobra tow ATGM and the ataka just a bit faster in flight but nowhere near 550 m/s
slimwing, It sucks because I grinded my way to the MI 35 just to experience the glorious 550 meters per second op speed and all I get is 350 m/s which is a bit faster than the tow, also funny how the shturm is a bit slower than the tow lol. Fix this gaijin.
Repair Cost is too high to grind when a few 7.62s rip your tail boom off. Guaranteed 8k punishment when kills only get you 3.__K. Whereas helicopters are fun, they still don't justify their existence with such a costly penalty to being killed. It's hard to enthuse about something if it just takes your lions on an almost regular basis.
Did you actually tried controlling helicopters with full real controls in Tank Simulator battles? They keep wobbling and if you try gunner mode the stabilizing camera jumps from default view, in the mean time helicopter loses stability and ends up crashing.
