How your entries will be assessed:
- Accuracy and similarity to the reference model - each bend and curve are important.
- The final look of the model - a model, driving through trenches or across terrain is better than just a picture on the table.
- Details - this may be a soldier on the hull, or unusual environment - use your imagination.
- The contest is open - anyone can take part
- 1 participant - 1 model. 1 author can not submit more than one work. Models made by a group of people will not be accepted either.
- The model should be created without significant changes from the original reference model, minor changes such as hand-rails or lamps etc are permitted. However this will not greatly affect the judge's decision
- Models placed on dioramas/landscapes etc. are permitted. However this will not greatly affect the judge's decision
- Models are judged by their photos, so please try to take good quality pictures. The minimum resolution is 1024 pixels (any side), maximum size is not limited (if reasonable). There should be 3 photos minimum of the assembly process (e.g. tank without chassis or hatches), 2 pictures of the final result with one of the pictures having a slip of paper with the distinctive nickname of the player displayed.
- No photo post-processing - only cutting and colour correction are permitted. If in doubt, the Jury may require the original pictures of a model or ask to create a new picture.
Work publication:
Publish your report about the model creation and the final result on your FB page with a #thunder_paper hashtag (it may be over several posts), also add your nickname to the post.
Entries will be accepted until the 10th of July. The results will be published separately within 2 weeks after the contest ends.
But even without these improvements you will still have a chance to win! Don’t come unstuck - Enter now!

Judges are gonna have a great time after seeing the 40th identically made tank with the same colour-scheme.
This ^^ Why couldn't we just get a blank template and paint it ourselves
Sidescrape, :thonk:
"And become a ""proud owner"" oft the Tiger II H Sla16." I have driven this tank since 1,5 years and since the Japanese Update it is useless. The tanks in the BR range of the Tiger II are in all points better. Except of lowtiers of course. 6.7 is dead gaijin. DEAD!! So fix that before you sell trash for real money!
This. I have the normal Tiger II. I've stopped playing it since it mostly faces tanks with HEAT-FS and British HESH. 1 shot-rekt :(
German RB Tank 6.7 was my favorite setup by far. Since the introduction of 300mm pen HEATFS on 6.7 i dont play it anymore.
When they say that the Tiger had a "Paper Armor" :P
It doesn't
Lapiz_Lazuli64, It's a joke -.-
There is a lot of bitching going on for a contest for free shit. You don't have to enter fools.
I second this
That's a lot of work for a simple Tiger II. And it's barely creative. You could just come up and say hey spread the word about War Thunder and have a premium Tiger II if 20 of your invited friends reach rank III.
actually, there's A LOT to put into it, the Tracks are 3D, and the decors are 3D as well, you MIGHT wanna make a BIG Model to make those smaller pieces easier to construct
Whoever created the paper model did a really good job. It looks fantastic!
What paper model? That's an in-game model.
ToxicSight, Have you actually opened the instructions
Good luck to everyone who participate ! CoZone , o7
I second that! Good Luck participants o7
Bafta :D !!!
Hopefully my 7 year old paper dinosaur making skills will help 7 years later xDD
why not a real model contest, the takes skill and patience?
can we modify it or just make the model as it is?
You can do small modifications on top of the existing model (eg : adding lights, small decorative elements)
