Developed primarily to carry more firepower to the battlefield than an ordinary tank, self-propelled guns or SPGs can be powerful combatants on the battlefields of War Thunder. While often just as mobile as their turreted bretheren, these tracked vehicles perfectly compensate their lack of turret traverse with an awesome punching power and excellent performance at range. To many, the SPG is the perfect 'sniper', slinging shots on unsuspecting targets after careful observation from afar. But what to do if not in such utopian conditions? Let's find out.

Do you enjoy commanding the SPGs of War Thunder, or do you rather prefer the versatiity of having a rotatable turret installed? Tell us about your bravest victories and closest defeats in an SPG and share your tactics with other 'snipers' in the comments!
