Polish Vehicles and a Trophy with Decals Commemorating Polish Armed Forces Day!
Download Wallpaper:

In Poland, Armed Forces Day is celebrated on August 15th in honor of the victory in the Battle of Warsaw in 1920; however, the history of the Polish Army dates back to the very founding of the state in the 10th century. In the 15th century, Poland prevailed over the Teutonic Order, which acknowledged itself as a vassal of the Polish Crown, which secured the country’s access to the Baltic Sea. In the late 16th and early 17th centuries, following its union with Lithuania, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth became one of the largest and most powerful states in Europe. It was during this period that the Winged Hussars, the elite Polish cavalry, gained widespread fame.

About this aircraft

  • Witold Łanowski was one of the notable Polish aces of the Second World War. He flew Spitfires and Mustangs with the Royal Air Force, and later the P-47D and P-47M-1-RE with the US Air Force. He spent the final months of the war, right up to May 1945, flying the latter aircraft. The P-47M-1-RE was one of the final Thunderbolt models: fast, rugged, and heavily armed. Its forward-firing armament consisted of no fewer than eight 12.7mm machine guns, yet it was best suited for ground-attack missions thanks to its HVAR rockets and bombs weighing up to 1,000 lb.

One tank was named “Trzyniec” after a Czech city located near the Polish border, a cultural hub for the Polish diaspora. The tank’s standout feature is its powerful gun, which boasts excellent shell penetration. “Trzyniec” can penetrate virtually any opponent it faces, so protect it well and strike first!
