In War Thunder update “Starfighters” we are beginning the beta-test of the Italian Naval Forces - Regia Marina!
During the test, the research and purchase of Italian naval vessels will be available without any limitations for testers - the players that complete the tasks to become a tester or players that purchased at least one of the packs will be granted access to the test.
How to become a tester
From the 26th of May until the 5th of July (11:00 GMT) Get 12 tester stars to get access to Italian fleet research!
To get one star you need to win 5 times in naval battles (in vehicles of rank II or higher with an activity of 50% or higher). You can get only 1 star per day. The task will be updated every day at 11:00 GMT.
For 10 tester stars you will receive the "Regia marina" emblem.
Packs with the access to the test
Purchasing one of the following packs with premium vehicles will give you immediate access to the Italian naval forces research tree.
- Geniere (Rank 3 Italy);
- Premium account for 15 days;
- 2000 Golden Eagles;
- "Regia marina" Emblem.
- Italian Naval CBT Access.
- P 420 Sparviero (Rank 2 Italy);
- Premium account for 7 days
- 1,000 Golden Eagles;
- "Regia marina" Emblem.
- Italian Naval CBT Access.
Terms
- All players that achieve tester status will receive a forum award - it will be displayed under your messages on forum. This forum award will be given out in one of the following updates.
- You can follow your progress by clicking on your Nickname → Achievements → “Italian Naval Forces CBT".
- The end of the period for receiving tester stars is not related to the completion of the Italian Naval Forces CBT.
- We do not plan to reset any research progress in Italian vehicles after CBT ends.

Only 26 comments, yikes. Naval is dead. So dead in fact, they didn't even name the update after Italian Naval being added. There's no point working on this content if you guys don't even make naval engaging to play and possible to grind. P2W premium vessels, poor RP gains in naval, half of the maps are a joke. You might have encouraged SOME people to play naval with this, but nope, you need tester stars. Unless you guys radically change naval, its just a waste of dev time and is just a cash grab

So you want me to either pay, or grind to get access to a dead gamemode consisting of horrible maps, badly designed game-mechanics and the most unbalanced gameplay I've seen in a "released" game in a loooong time. How about no.

An update with the entire naval tree added is called after a top tier jet. Shows just how relevant naval battles are.
YAY veichles i'll never be able to get! super fun! seriously tho, why not add something more accesible for all players? how about separate veichles by eras, such as world war 2 veichles having their own category, and modern ones too. then, you could make it so world war 2 veichles don't get matched with modern ones, simple! oh and, world war 1 is needed, and bob semple, just bob semple, next april fools? maybe, or just add it, also bring back the MAUS, as premium, maybe.
