War Thunder background
Naval Test pre-beta testing schedule

From 17:00 GMT on the 16th of March, until 05:00 GMT on the 19th of March

Naval Battles testing will be available for all who purchased Naval packs!

Test features:

  • New offshore location “Northern Port”, based on the coastline of Spitsbergen, has been added.

Changes and improvements in game mechanics:

  • For vessels with separate armament groups: in the case a player chooses a specific armament group, the rest may still continue fire, including the main calibre weapons.
  • Target selection changed for secondary and AA weapons. You may now manually select targets for them.
  • If target is selected manually, the target remains selected even if you turn the camera away, rangefinder follows the target and sends range data to the respective weapons. In order to cancel the current selection you should either choose another target or just click designated “select target” button at any empty space.
  • To update range data in RB you should use “select target” on this target again.
  • View from sights has been improved: vessel model and fume from tubes no longer block the view.
  • An option to aim at a point on the surface has been added — it activates with “Targeting at the point" command.
  • An option to lock on target in a mode without markers has been added.
  • Torpedo markers have been changed.
  • When you lock on target in RB you now have lead marker for torpedoes.
  • Water visuals have been updated - wave structure is more detailed.
  • New modification for vessels has been added - artillery support. Works similar to artillery modification in ground battles.
  • Vessel dynamics updated. Vessel performance during maneuvering, acceleration and stopping are more realistic.
